- 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
- 1/3 cup (65 g) granulated sugar

- 1/2 cup (60 g) powdered sugar
- 1–2 tablespoons milk
Instructions
- Prepare the Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, and lemon juice. Mix until smooth and creamy.
- Prepare the Puff Pastry: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out puff pastry sheets and cut into equal squares.
- Shape the Danish: Place pastry squares on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Spoon cream cheese filling into the center of each square.
- Fold the Pastry: Fold corners slightly toward the center or leave open for a classic Danish shape.
- Apply Egg Wash: Whisk egg with water and brush over pastry edges.
- Bake: Bake for 15–18 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
