Description
Make festive Chocolate Peanut Butter Christmas Trees for a holiday treat.
Ingredients

- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- Dash of salt (optional)
- 1 cup milk chocolate chips
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons vegetable shortening or coconut oil
- Sprinkles or extra chocolate for decoration
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with wax paper.
- Melt butter and brown sugar together.
- Add peanut butter and salt, mix well.
- Gradually add powdered sugar, stirring until combined.
- Press or roll dough to 1/2 inch thickness.
- Cut out trees with cookie cutter.
- Refrigerate trees for 30 minutes to set.
- Melt chocolate chips and shortening in microwave in 30-second intervals until melted.
- Dip each peanut butter tree in melted chocolate, letting excess drip off.
- Place on waxed paper.
- Decorate with sprinkles.
- Refrigerate to allow chocolate to set for 30 minutes.
- Store in refrigerator in airtight container.
Notes
- Adjust powdered sugar for desired consistency.
- Use a fork for easy dipping.
- Chill the trees completely before serving.
