Description

A festive treat combining dark and white chocolate with crushed peppermint candy.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 ounces quality white chocolate (like Ghirardelli)
  • 12 ounces quality dark chocolate (like Ghirardelli)
  • 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candy (I use starlite)

Instructions

  1. Line a 9×12 pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the dark chocolate using a double boiler or microwave (30-second intervals, stirring until smooth).
  3. Pour the melted dark chocolate onto the parchment paper and spread to about 1/3″ thickness.
  4. Melt the white chocolate using the same method.
  5. Pour the melted white chocolate over the dark chocolate, aiming for equal thickness.
  6. Crush peppermint candies in a ziplock bag using a hammer or meat tenderizer.
  7. Sprinkle the crushed peppermint over the melted white chocolate.
  8. Refrigerate for 2 hours to harden.
  9. Break the candy into pieces.
  10. Store in the refrigerator if you live in a warm/humid climate.
