This Christmas Cracker Toffee is a sweet and crunchy treat perfect for the holidays.
Ingredients

- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup crackers, broken into pieces
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a saucepan, melt butter, sugar, water, and salt over medium heat.
- Bring to a boil, stirring constantly, until the mixture reaches 300°F (150°C) on a candy thermometer.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
- Pour the toffee mixture over the crackers on the baking sheet.
- Sprinkle with chocolate chips and nuts (if using).
- Bake for 5-7 minutes, or until the chocolate is melted.
- Remove from oven and let cool completely.
- Break into pieces and enjoy.
Notes
- You can use any type of crackers you like.
- For a richer flavor, use brown sugar instead of granulated sugar.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
