Create festive Christmas Tree Cake Pops for a holiday treat.
Ingredients

- 1 box cake mix (plus ingredients called for on box)
- 1 container frosting
- Candy Melts (green)
- Sprinkles (Christmas themed)
- Lollipop sticks
- Vegetable oil
Instructions
- Bake cake according to box directions. Let cool completely.
- Crumble cake into a large bowl.
- Mix in frosting until well combined.
- Roll cake mixture into small balls.
- Melt Candy Melts according to package directions.
- Dip lollipop stick into melted candy and insert into cake ball.
- Dip entire cake pop into melted candy, covering completely.
- Immediately add sprinkles.
- Place cake pops in a stand or on parchment paper to set.
- Add vegetable oil to candy melts to make it smoother and easier to coat the cake pops
Notes
- Refrigerate cake pops for 15-20 minutes before dipping for easier handling.
- Use a double boiler or microwave to melt candy melts.
- If candy melts are too thick, add a small amount of vegetable shortening.
