Description

Create festive Christmas Tree Cake Pops for a holiday treat.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box cake mix (plus ingredients called for on box)
  • 1 container frosting
  • Candy Melts (green)
  • Sprinkles (Christmas themed)
  • Lollipop sticks
  • Vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Bake cake according to box directions. Let cool completely.
  2. Crumble cake into a large bowl.
  3. Mix in frosting until well combined.
  4. Roll cake mixture into small balls.
  5. Melt Candy Melts according to package directions.
  6. Dip lollipop stick into melted candy and insert into cake ball.
  7. Dip entire cake pop into melted candy, covering completely.
  8. Immediately add sprinkles.
  9. Place cake pops in a stand or on parchment paper to set.
  10. Add vegetable oil to candy melts to make it smoother and easier to coat the cake pops

Notes

  • Refrigerate cake pops for 15-20 minutes before dipping for easier handling.
  • Use a double boiler or microwave to melt candy melts.
