Description

Christmas Wreath Bronuts are a festive treat combining brownie and doughnut textures, decorated as mini wreaths.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 200g dark chocolate
  • 200g unsalted butter
  • 4 medium eggs
  • 275g light brown soft sugar
  • 100g plain flour
  • 50g cocoa powder
  • 200g milk chocolate chips
  • 125g unsalted butter
  • 250g icing sugar
  • Green food colouring
  • Sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180C/160 fan. Grease doughnut moulds and place on baking trays.
  2. Melt dark chocolate and butter together until smooth. Cool for 10 minutes.
  3. Whisk eggs and sugar until light and mousse-like.
  4. Fold cooled chocolate mixture into egg mixture.
  5. Fold in flour and cocoa powder.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips.
  7. Pipe mixture into doughnut moulds.
  8. Bake for 16-18 minutes. Cool in moulds.
  9. Beat butter until smooth. Add icing sugar and beat to buttercream. Add green food colouring.
  10. Pipe frosting onto cooled bronuts to create a wreath look.
  11. Add sprinkles. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Bronuts last for 4+ days at room temperature.
  • They can be frozen for 3+ months.
