Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk, warm
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • For the filling: 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
  2. Add warm milk, melted butter, and egg. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1-1.5 hours.
  5. In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon for the filling.
  6. Roll out the dough into a rectangle.
  7. Spread softened butter over the dough.
  8. Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the butter.
  9. Roll the dough tightly into a log.
  10. Cut the log into slices and place in a greased loaf pan.
  11. Cover and let rise for 30 minutes.
  12. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  13. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown.
  14. Let cool before slicing and serving.
