Description

A festive Cranberry Pecan Cheese Ball perfect for Valentine’s Day. Easy to make and a crowd-pleasing appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 (8 oz) Cream Cheese, Softened
  • 1 cup White Cheddar Cheese, Shredded
  • 1 cup Dried Cranberries, Roughly Chopped
  • 1 cup Pecans, Finely Chopped
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Chives, Chopped

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, beat together softened cream cheese, shredded cheese, 1/2 cup chopped dried cranberries, 1/2 cup chopped pecans, and 1 tbsp chopped chives.
  2. Scrape down sides of the bowl, bringing the mixture to the center. This will make about 3 cups.
  3. Set out a piece of 10″ x 10″ plastic wrap.
  4. Using greased hands, form the cream cheese mixture into a ball and place onto the plastic wrap. Bring the edges of the plastic wrap around the cheese ball to seal. Let chill in the refrigerator until firm.
  5. On a plate, combine 1/2 cup cup chopped dried cranberries, 1/2 cup chopped pecans, and 1 tbsp chopped chives.
  6. Remove the cheese ball from the refrigerator and unwrap.
  7. Roll into the mixture on the plate, pressing slightly into it to cover the cheese ball entirely.
  8. Let sit at room temperature to soften for about 20 minutes before serving.
  9. Serve with crackers.

Notes

  • Serve with your favorite crackers or baguette slices.
  • The cheese ball can be made 1-2 days in advance.
