Make a simple and delicious pumpkin spice cake topped with cream cheese frosting.

- 1 box spice cake mix
- 1 (15 ounce) can pumpkin puree
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine cake mix, pumpkin puree, oil, eggs, and pumpkin pie spice. Mix until well combined.
- Pour batter into a greased and floured 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let cake cool completely.
- For the frosting, beat cream cheese and butter together until smooth.
- Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla extract until desired consistency is reached.
- Frost cooled cake.
- Cut, serve, and enjoy.
