Description

Make a simple and delicious pumpkin spice cake topped with cream cheese frosting.


Ingredients

  • 1 box spice cake mix
  • 1 (15 ounce) can pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine cake mix, pumpkin puree, oil, eggs, and pumpkin pie spice. Mix until well combined.
  3. Pour batter into a greased and floured 9×13 inch baking pan.
  4. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  5. Let cake cool completely.
  6. For the frosting, beat cream cheese and butter together until smooth.
  7. Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla extract until desired consistency is reached.
  8. Frost cooled cake.
  9. Cut, serve, and enjoy.
