Description

Make decadent fudgy brownies with crunchy walnuts at home.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (113g) unsalted butter
  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup (50g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup (60g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup (50g) walnuts, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8×8 inch baking pan.
  2. Melt butter in a saucepan. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, cocoa powder, and salt.
  3. Stir in vanilla extract. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Gradually add flour and mix until just combined. Stir in chopped walnuts.
  5. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with fudgy crumbs.
  6. Let cool completely before cutting into squares.

Notes

  • For extra fudgy brownies, slightly underbake them.
  • Add chocolate chips for added richness.
