Description

A creamy, minty, and refreshing Grasshopper Pie recipe.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate wafer crumbs
  • 6 tablespoons melted butter
  • 30 large marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup green crème de menthe
  • 1/4 cup white crème de cacao
  • 2 cups heavy cream, whipped
  • Chocolate shavings, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Combine chocolate wafer crumbs and melted butter. Press into the bottom of a pie plate.
  2. In a saucepan, melt marshmallows with milk over low heat, stirring constantly.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in crème de menthe and crème de cacao.
  4. Let cool slightly.
  5. Fold in whipped cream.
  6. Pour into the prepared crust.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
  8. Garnish with chocolate shavings before serving.

Notes

  • For a stronger mint flavor, add a few drops of peppermint extract.
  • You can use a graham cracker crust instead of a chocolate wafer crust.
  • Store leftover pie in the refrigerator.
