- 100g powdered sugar
- 50g granulated sugar
- 2 large egg whites
- Pink food coloring
- 100g unsalted butter
- 100g powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Sift almond flour and powdered sugar.
- Whisk egg whites until foamy. Gradually add granulated sugar and whisk until stiff peaks form.
- Fold dry ingredients into egg whites. Add pink food coloring.
- Pipe heart shapes onto baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Let macarons rest for 30-60 minutes.
- Bake at 300°F (150°C) for 12-15 minutes.
- Make buttercream: Beat butter until light and fluffy. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract.
- Fill macarons with buttercream.
Notes
- Let macarons cool completely before filling.
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
- For best results, age egg whites for 24 hours.
