Description

Create a delightful Heart-Shaped Strawberry Pancake Stack. This recipe features fluffy pancakes layered with fresh strawberries and whipped cream.


Ingredients

  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1¼ cups milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted (plus more for pan)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1½ cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 tbsp sugar (optional, for strawberries)
  • Whipped cream or Greek yogurt, for layering
  • Maple syrup or strawberry syrup
  • Powdered sugar, for garnish
  • Optional: pink or red food coloring

Instructions

  1. Mix dry ingredients: Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  2. Mix wet ingredients: In another bowl, whisk milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla.
  3. Make batter: Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed. Rest 5–10 minutes.
  4. Prepare strawberries: Toss sliced strawberries with sugar if desired and set aside.
  5. Cook pancakes: Heat greased skillet. Place heart-shaped mold on pan, fill ¾ full with batter, cook until bubbles form, remove mold, flip and cook until golden.
  6. Assemble stack: Layer pancakes with strawberries and whipped cream. Finish with syrup and powdered sugar.

Notes

  • For best results, do not overmix the batter.
  • Adjust sweetness to your preference by using more or less sugar.
