Description

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a bundt pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream together softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, alternating with buttermilk, beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
  5. In a small bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon for the swirl filling.
  6. Pour half of the cake batter into the prepared bundt pan. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over the batter.
  7. Pour remaining batter over the cinnamon sugar layer.
  8. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Let cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before inverting onto a wire rack to cool completely.
