Easy maple frosting recipe for cakes and cupcakes.
Ingredients

- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1–2 tablespoons milk or cream, as needed
Instructions
- In a large bowl, beat the softened butter until smooth and creamy.
- Gradually add the powdered sugar, one cup at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Stir in the maple syrup and salt.
- Add milk or cream, one tablespoon at a time, until you reach your desired consistency.
- Beat the frosting until light and fluffy.
- Use immediately to frost cakes or cupcakes.
Notes
- For a stronger maple flavor, use maple extract in addition to the syrup.
- Adjust the amount of milk or cream to achieve your preferred frosting consistency.
