Ingredients
Scale
- 1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix
- 1 1/4 cups water
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 3 large eggs
- 1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Ground cinnamon, for dusting
- Fresh berries, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare cake batter according to box instructions using water, oil, and eggs.
- Pour batter into a greased and floured 9×13 inch baking pan. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let cake cool completely in the pan. Use a fork to poke holes all over the cake.
- In a large bowl, whisk together evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, heavy cream, and vanilla extract.
- Slowly pour the milk mixture evenly over the cooled cake, allowing it to soak in.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight.
- Cut cake into squares and transfer to individual serving cups.
- Dust with ground cinnamon and garnish with fresh berries, if desired.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use whole milk instead of evaporated milk.
- Adjust the amount of milk mixture according to your preference.
- You can add a splash of rum or brandy to the milk mixture for an extra layer of flavor.
