Delicious pecan pie bars are a sweet and nutty treat. These bars are perfect for holidays or any special occasion.

- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 4–6 tablespoons ice water
- 1 cup pecan halves
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Make the crust: In a bowl, combine flour, butter, sugar, and salt. Cut butter into flour until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Add ice water, 1 tablespoon at a time, until dough comes together.
- Press dough into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Bake crust for 15-20 minutes, or until lightly golden.
- Make the filling: In a bowl, combine pecans, corn syrup, brown sugar, melted butter, eggs, vanilla, and salt.
- Pour filling over pre-baked crust.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until filling is set.
- Let cool completely before cutting into bars.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use browned butter in the filling.
- Store pecan pie bars in an airtight container at room temperature.
- You can add a pinch of cinnamon to the filling for extra warmth.
