Easy and delicious homemade pineapple pie recipe.

- 1 (9-inch) pie crust, pre-baked
- 1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a saucepan, combine drained pineapple, sugar, cornstarch, and salt.
- Stir in water and cook over medium heat until mixture thickens and bubbles.
- Remove from heat and stir in butter and vanilla extract.
- Pour filling into pre-baked pie crust.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until filling is set.
- Let cool completely before serving.
Notes
- For a golden crust, brush with egg wash before baking.
- Serve chilled or at room temperature.
