Description

Enjoy these baked pumpkin donuts with a sweet glaze, perfect for fall.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Glaze: 1 cup powdered sugar, 2-3 tbsp milk, 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a donut pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix sugar, pumpkin puree, milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Fill each donut cavity 2/3 full.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Let donuts cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. Prepare the glaze by whisking together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  9. Dip each donut into the glaze and place back on the wire rack to allow excess glaze to drip off.
  10. Enjoy!

Notes

  • For best results, use fresh spices.
  • Don’t overmix the batter to keep the donuts tender.
  • Adjust glaze consistency by adding more or less milk.
