- ⅓ cup unsalted butter, melted

- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- ½ tsp vanilla extract (for drizzle)
- 2–3 tbsp milk (for drizzle consistency)
Instructions
- Mix dry ingredients: Whisk flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Mix wet ingredients: Whisk eggs, buttermilk, melted butter, vanilla, and red food coloring.
- Combine: Stir wet ingredients into dry until just combined. Rest batter 5 minutes.
- Cook waffles: Preheat and grease waffle iron. Cook batter until waffles are crisp and cooked through.
- Make drizzle: Beat cream cheese and butter until smooth. Add powdered sugar and vanilla, then milk until pourable.
- Serve: Drizzle cream cheese glaze over warm waffles and add desired toppings.
Notes
- For a tangier flavor, use buttermilk. If you don’t have buttermilk, add 1 tbsp of vinegar to regular milk.
- Adjust the amount of red food coloring to your preference.
- Serve waffles immediately for the best texture.
