Description

Make sweet air fryer churro bites. This recipe gives you a quick and easy way to enjoy churros at home.


Ingredients

  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1 cup plain flour
  • 1/3 cup + 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon powder
  • 1 cup white sugar

Instructions

  1. Combine water, butter, salt, and sugar in a pan. Bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat and gradually add flour, stirring until the dough comes together. Remove from heat.
  2. Transfer dough to a bowl and let cool for 4-5 minutes. Add egg and vanilla extract. Mix with an electric mixer until smooth.
  3. Transfer churro dough to a piping bag. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Spray the air fryer basket with nonstick cooking spray. Pipe bite-sized churros into the basket, do not overcrowd.
  4. Lightly brush butter on top of the churros. Cook in the air fryer for 10-12 minutes until golden brown. Work in batches if needed.
  5. Mix sugar and cinnamon powder in a bowl. Transfer cooked churros into the cinnamon sugar mixture. Toss to coat evenly. Brush with melted butter to help mixture adhere.
  6. Serve warm with dips like chocolate syrup, honey, or Nutella.
