Description

Make a sweet and salty Valentine Popcorn Snack Mix for your loved ones. It’s easy to make and fun to share.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 cups of popped corn (no butter or salt)
  • 10 oz of Ghirardelli White Melting Wafers or 2 cups of white chocolate chips
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 3/4 cup of Valentine colored M&M’s
  • 1 1/2 cups of chocolate covered pretzels
  • Valentine colored sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Line a sheet pan with parchment or wax paper and set aside.
  2. Add the white melting wafers or white chips to a heat safe bowl, and place the bowl over a pan of steaming water.
  3. Slowly melt and stir the wafers until they are completely melted and smooth.
  4. Alternatively, pour the melting wafers or chips into a microwave safe bowl and heat for 30 seconds.
  5. Stir and keep microwaving in 15 second intervals until the wafers are completely melted and smooth.
  6. In a large bowl, add your popcorn.
  7. Pour the melted candy coating or white chocolate over the popcorn.
  8. Moving quickly, use a rubber spatula to toss the mixture until all the popcorn is evenly coated.
  9. Dump the coated popcorn onto the prepared sheet pan and spread out into an even, single layer.
  10. Before the candy coating sets, sprinkle on your salt, M&M’s, and sprinkles.
  11. Distribute the chocolate covered pretzels evenly over the top of the popcorn mixture.
  12. Chill for 15-20 minutes until set.
  13. Break into chunks and store at room temperature in an airtight container or package in cute tins to give to your loved ones.

Notes

  • Use air-popped popcorn for best results.
  • Make sure the popcorn is not buttered or salted.
  • Store in an airtight container to maintain freshness.
