- 1 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup vegan butter, softened
- 1/4 cup vegan caramel sauce, plus more for drizzling
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups peeled and diced apples
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, cream together applesauce, sugar, vegan butter, caramel sauce, and vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the diced apples.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Drizzle with additional vegan caramel sauce before serving.

- Adjust the amount of caramel sauce to your liking.
