Description
Create festive Jack-O’-Lantern cookies with a sweet chocolate filling. These treats are perfect for Halloween.

- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 bag (12 oz) semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted
- Orange food coloring
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Divide dough in half and tint one half with orange food coloring.
- Roll out dough and cut out Jack-O’-Lantern shapes.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
- Let cool completely.
- Spread melted chocolate on the flat side of one cookie and top with another cookie.
Notes
- Adjust baking time based on your oven.
- You can use different shapes for the cookies.
- Add sprinkles for extra decoration.
